Nayax launches EV charging payment terminals in Brazil
Nayax Ltd. has launched its electric mobility business in Brazil, introducing the VPOS Media 4 Mini payment terminal designed for electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The terminal allows drivers to pay directly at the charger using cards and digital wallets, aiming to reduce friction by providing an experience similar to traditional fuel pumps.
The VPOS Media 4 Mini is certified by ABECS for payment security and Anatel for connected devices. It is designed for unattended outdoor use with protection against dust, water, and mechanical impact. The system pre-authorizes payments at the start of a session and automatically captures the final amount upon completion.
This launch comes as Brazil’s EV infrastructure expands. According to the Brazilian Electric Vehicle Association, the country’s public and semi-public charging network reached 25,429 points by the end of May 2026, representing a 20.7 percent increase over three months. The nation's plug-in vehicle fleet currently stands at 505,806 vehicles.
