Nayef Aguerd remains under physical management by Morocco

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) is managing Olympique de Marseille defender Nayef Aguerd with caution during the current international break. Aguerd has remained at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora to continue an individualized physical recovery protocol with the U23 technical staff, rather than traveling with the senior squad to South Africa for the match against Lesotho.

While Aguerd was omitted from the trip to South Africa, the FRMF clarified that he remains available for the senior national team's friendly against Ghana, scheduled for October 4 in Tangier. His participation in that match will depend on his physical progress. This cautious approach aims to manage his workload and prevent further injury, providing a potential boost to Marseille's defensive rotation following the long-term injury to Derek Cornelius.
