Nayeli Salvatori considers joining PT if expelled from Morena
Mexican local deputy Nayeli Salvatori Bojalil has expressed openness to joining the Partido del Trabajo (PT) if she is expelled from the Morena party. This follows a disciplinary procedure initiated by Morena’s National Commission of Honesty and Justice (CNHJ) regarding comments made during an episode of the podcast ‘Descasadas.’
Salvatori stated she will await the formal ruling from the CNHJ before making a final decision regarding her political affiliation. She noted that she has previously collaborated with the PT in past coalitions. While her future in Morena is uncertain, she remains committed to her political ambitions for 2027, including potential runs for the presidency of San Pedro Cholula or a federal seat.
Lizeth Sánchez García, the state coordinator for the PT, has publicly expressed support for Salvatori’s potential integration into the party. Sánchez García clarified that any future candidacy would be subject to party legitimacy processes, such as polling and voter intention surveys.
