Jana Wosnitza rejects compliments regarding her physical appearance

RTL moderator Jana Wosnitza has spoken out against compliments regarding her physical appearance, describing the commentary on body images as “very, very sensitive and very, very dangerous.”

Wosnitza, who is known for her fitness-related social media content, explained that well-intentioned praise for a slim or toned physique can send false signals. She noted that during stressful life phases, weight loss can be unintentional, and receiving compliments in those moments may suggest that an unhealthy state is more desirable than a previously healthy body image.

She emphasized that the body is merely “the shell” and that external appearances do not reflect a person’s mental health or inner self. Wosnitza also addressed her own “toxic relationship” with sports during high-stress periods, noting that she has learned to listen to her body’s needs rather than pushing through training when recovery is required.
