Nazaré prepares for the return of 1,700 students to school

The new school year is set to begin on Monday, September 14, for 1,704 students across various educational levels in the municipality of Nazaré. The student population includes 261 pre-school children, 511 in the first cycle, 297 in the second cycle, 402 in the third cycle, and 233 in secondary education.

To prepare for the start of classes, the municipality held a reception for teachers and trainers on September 9, specifically aimed at welcoming new educators to the region. Additionally, infrastructure improvements have been made at the Amadeu Gaudêncio Basic and Secondary School. Following an agreement with the Externato D. Fuas Roupinho, several classes will now utilize rooms at that establishment. This arrangement allowed the municipality to remove five of the seven containers previously located on the school grounds, reintegrating that space into the students' playground.
