Nazilli Animal Market to undergo modernization
The Nazilli Commodity Exchange is initiating a modernization project for the Nazilli Animal Market to improve efficiency and safety for livestock producers in the Aegean region.
The planned upgrades include the restoration of existing structures, the renovation of pens based on member requests, and the improvement of loading and unloading areas. These changes aim to create better physical conditions for animals from the time they enter the market through the sale process.
To address traffic and safety concerns, the exchange is coordinating with the General Directorate of Highways to reorganize the market’s entry and exit points on the Nazilli-Bozdoğan road. This is intended to facilitate safer movement for livestock transport vehicles and reduce congestion.
Additionally, efforts are underway to streamline administrative processes. The exchange is seeking to have personnel from the District Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry stationed at the market so that shipment reports for livestock being sent out of the province can be prepared and approved on-site, saving producers from having to visit multiple locations.
