Nazilli Mayor Ertuğrul Tetik resigns from CHP

Ertuğrul Tetik, the Mayor of Nazilli, has resigned from the Republican People's Party (CHP) to continue his duties as an independent mayor. During a press conference, Tetik stated that his decision was not driven by anger or personal gain, but by a need to maintain management stability and focus on the responsibilities given to him by the people of Nazilli.

Tetik addressed previous rumors regarding a potential move to the YENİ Party, noting that while his past comments were sincere political evaluations, he felt the need to re-evaluate the political landscape. He emphasized his continued respect for the CHP and its historical values, asserting that his primary focus will remain on the issues facing Nazilli rather than political disputes.

Naim Atmaca, the CHP Nazilli District Chairman, commented on the resignation, suggesting that Tetik had been worn down by political pressures. Atmaca claimed that certain individuals within Aydın politics had attempted to undermine Tetik, stating that the mayor's decision was a result of being pushed to his limit by these ongoing political tensions.
