Nazilli Pregnancy School provides comprehensive training for expectant mothers

The Pregnancy School (Gebe Okulu), operating under the Nazilli District Health Directorate at the Republic Healthy Life Center, is providing comprehensive training programs for expectant mothers. Led by midwives and physiotherapists, the curriculum aims to ensure a healthier and more informed pregnancy process.

The educational sessions cover medical fundamentals, including fetal development, regular health check-ups, immunization, and routine tests. Participants are also guided on physiological and psychological changes, managing common pregnancy discomforts, recognizing danger signs, and responding to emergencies. Practical lifestyle guidance is provided regarding nutrition, hygiene, dental health, sleep, and clothing.

To prepare for childbirth, physiotherapists lead practical sessions focusing on correct breathing techniques, body awareness, and safe movements to support the musculoskeletal system. The program also includes information on the stages of labor, the benefits of natural birth, postpartum care, newborn care, and contraception methods. Participants who complete the program receive a certificate of participation.
