Nazilli Pregnancy School provides maternal and newborn training

The Cumhuriyet Healthy Life Center Pregnancy School, operating under the Nazilli District Health Directorate, is providing comprehensive training programs for expectant mothers. The initiative aims to ensure a healthier and more conscious pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum experience.

Theoretical instruction provided by midwives covers fetal development, the importance of regular health check-ups, immunization, and routine tests. Participants also receive guidance on physiological and psychological changes, personal hygiene, nutrition, sleep, and managing common pregnancy-related ailments or emergencies.

Modules dedicated to the birthing process explain the stages of labor and the benefits of natural childbirth. Additionally, the program includes instruction on the postpartum period, newborn care, and family planning. To support physical and mental readiness, physiotherapists lead practical sessions focusing on correct breathing techniques, body awareness, and safe movements to support the musculoskeletal system.
