Nazilli, Turkey conducts women’s health training on heat, cancer and safety
The Nazilli District Health Directorate organised a women‑focused education programme at the district health education hall. Health officer Cemalettin Bozoğlan explained the health impacts of extreme heat and advised participants to avoid outdoor exposure between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., wear light clothing, stay hydrated, limit strenuous activity, and never leave children, infants or pets unattended in parked vehicles. Nurse Ferda Hatun provided information on cancer screening and women's health issues, while stressing the importance for people with chronic conditions to keep medication and water on hand.
The event also included a "Best Narcotics Police Mother" session run by the local police, and a privacy‑rights workshop delivered by the Social Services Centre. Additional guidance on healthy nutrition was offered. Organisers said the programme aims to boost community health awareness and empower women with practical safety knowledge.
