Nazranaa unveils Samskriti 2.0 collection at New York Fashion Week

South Asian fashion brand Nazranaa unveiled its SS27 collection, Samskriti 2.0, during New York Fashion Week at Refectory Chelsea. The collection, designed by siblings Shivangi Gupta Singh and Shashank Gupta, aims to translate Indian architecture, spirituality, literature, and mathematics into contemporary couture.

Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar served as the showstopper, closing the runway. The designs drew inspiration from various cultural and religious elements, including the Meenakshi Temple, Prem Mandir, the Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra, Holi, and Raas Leela. Some pieces also incorporated intellectual history, such as menswear jackets inspired by the mathematical concepts of Acharya Pingala and the geometric patterns of the poet Māgha.

The designers noted that the collection is deeply personal, with certain pieces reflecting their childhood connections to Mathura and Vrindavan.
