NBA 2K27 Gameplay Trailer Unveils New Features and Cover Athletes

2K Sports released the first gameplay trailer for NBA 2K27, revealing this year’s cover athletes Victor Wembanyama, Caitlin Clark and Derrick Rose. The footage highlights upgraded player models, smoother animations and more realistic arena presentation across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Nintendo Switch 2.

The trailer includes a cameo of LeBron James tossing chalk in a Philadelphia 76ers jersey, Giannis Antetokounmpo in a Miami Heat uniform, and appearances by Paige Bueckers and other NBA/WNBA stars. Gameplay changes feature a redesigned dynamic Dunk Meter, improved AI defender positioning, an expanded MyPLAYER badge system (40 → 53 badges with 19 new abilities), and the largest shared MyTEAM auction house to date. Community‑driven additions such as a recreated Rucker Park and a refreshed nighttime City environment are also showcased. 2K announced a Preseason Breakdown livestream on August 18, with the game slated for release on September 4 and Early Access beginning August 29.
