NBA 2K27 begins early access and Season 1 launch

NBA 2K27, developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K, has entered its early access phase as of August 26, 2026, for Deluxe and Ultra Edition owners. The full worldwide release is scheduled for September 4, 2026.

Season 1 of the game is launching simultaneously, featuring San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama as the cover athlete and season headliner. The new season includes a 40-level rewards ladder across The City and MyTEAM modes, offering players various cosmetics, Badge Tokens, and MyTEAM cards. New gameplay features include improved defensive mechanics, realistic contact, and the ability to create female players in The City.

In the competitive sphere, the Italian Basketball Federation (FIP) has announced the 2026-27 eSports season, which will utilize NBA 2K27 for various 5v5 and 3v3 tournaments, including the FIP eBasket Championship and the Italian eBasket League A2.
