NBA 2K27 Season 2 to launch October 16 with GOAT Builds
Publisher 2K has announced that Season 2 of NBA 2K27 will launch on Friday, October 16, coinciding with the start of the NBA season. The update features Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton as central figures.
A major addition is the introduction of GOAT Builds, which allow players to create characters that exceed the standard physical and attribute limits of the MyPLAYER Builder. These builds are inspired by NBA legends and include preset animations and statistics to maintain authenticity. Initial available builds include Klay Thompson, Carmelo Anthony, Anthony Davis, and Dwight Howard.
The update also brings back the remastered Sunset Beach location from NBA 2K17 to The City. Players can earn various rewards by reaching level 40, such as a four-person golf cart at level 18 and the Dirk Nowitzki GOAT Build at level 33.
Additionally, NBA 2K27 will be available on the Windows PC Store on October 16. Patch 2.0 is also being implemented, offering gameplay improvements, updates to MyTEAM and Crew HQ, and a MyCAREER Eras mode that allows for a continuous 25-year career spanning multiple eras.
