NBA approaches October roster deadlines and training camp

The NBA enters a critical period in October marked by significant roster and contract deadlines. Teams must finalize their regular season rosters by 4:00 pm Central time on Monday, October 19. To comply with roster limits, clubs may carry a maximum of 15 players on standard contracts and three on two-way deals. A key deadline for teams looking to waive players on non-guaranteed contracts is Saturday, October 17, to avoid paying salaries during the waiver period.

In Milwaukee, the Bucks are entering a new era following the departure of Giannis Antetokounmpo. The franchise is focusing on new rookie additions Brayden Burries and Nate Ament. Burries, selected at No. 10, earned All-Summer League First Team honors after averaging 23.5 points per game. Ament, selected at No. 13, is viewed as a developmental project who has shown significant improvement in his shooting during the offseason.
