NBA General Managers name Cameron Boozer Rookie of the Year favorite

The annual NBA General Manager poll for the 2026-27 season reveals significant early projections for the league's latest rookie class. Memphis Grizzlies rookie Cameron Boozer, the third overall pick, has emerged as the betting favorite to win Rookie of the Year, receiving 50% of the votes from league executives.

Other top candidates identified in the poll include Caleb Wilson of the Chicago Bulls, who received 20% of the votes for Rookie of the Year. In a separate category regarding which rookie will be the best in five years, Wilson tied with the first overall pick, AJ Dybantsa, with 33% of the vote, while Boozer followed with 23%. Darryn Peterson of the Utah Jazz rounded out the top group in both categories.
