NBA GM Survey highlights Spurs' young core and player rankings

The 25th annual NBA General Manager Survey has been released, featuring votes from franchise decision-makers on various categories including teams, players, and offseason moves.

In the survey, the San Antonio Spurs were recognized as having the most promising young core, receiving 87% of the votes. The Washington Wizards followed with 7%, while the Charlotte Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder also received recognition. The Houston Rockets were noted for their omission in this specific category despite a roster featuring developing talents such as Alperen Sengun, Amen Thompson, and Jabari Smith Jr.

Other notable survey results include Luka Dončić being named the league's top small forward and finishing second to Nikola Jokić for best passer. Victor Wembanyama was identified as the top interior defender. The Los Angeles Lakers received minimal recognition in the survey, finishing sixth in the Western Conference rankings and receiving no votes in the defensive categories.
