NBA legend Derek Fisher and Gloria Govan confirm they are living apart

Former NBA guard and coach Derek Fisher and his wife, former "Basketball Wives" star Gloria Govan, have confirmed they are living separately while working through marital issues. A spokesperson said the couple remains in regular communication, is focused on their family and has no plans to file for divorce at this time.

Fisher and Govan married in July 2021 in Malibu after postponing their original 2020 ceremony because of the COVID‑19 pandemic. Govan shares twin sons, Carter and Isaiah, with ex‑husband Matt Barnes; the boys attend Crespi Carmelite High School in Encino, California, where Fisher serves as their basketball coach. Fisher, a five‑time NBA champion with the Los Angeles Lakers, also previously coached the New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Sparks. Both parties have not made any public comments beyond the statement to TMZ Sports.
