While Dallas Mavericks forward Cooper Flagg is a highly publicized NBA star from Newport, Maine, he is not the only current professional player born in the state. Duncan Robinson, who plays for the Detroit Pistons, was born in York, Maine.

Flagg, who led Nokomis Regional High School to a Class A boys basketball championship in 2022, recently unveiled a New Balance logo featuring pine tree cutouts to honor his Maine heritage. He also co-owns Flagg Trading Co., a collectibles shop in Bangor.
