NBA prepares for new season with overseas signings and rookie arrivals

The NBA is preparing for a new season characterized by significant roster shifts and a highly anticipated rookie class. Many veteran free agents who were unable to secure NBA roster spots have opted to continue their careers overseas. Notable players signing with international clubs include Joe Ingles and Josh Oduro, both of whom have joined Melbourne United in Australia.

On the rookie front, the 2026 draft class is being described as a stacked group. Among the top prospects entering the preseason is Yaxel Lendeborg, the No. 11 pick for the Golden State Warriors. Lendeborg, a former standout for the Michigan Wolverines, is positioned as a key addition for the Warriors following a summer of limited major acquisitions.
