In the Eastern Conference, the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons are projected to tie for the top spot with 53 wins each, followed by Cleveland (51), Philadelphia (50), and Boston (48).

Regarding the Spurs, analysts note the team has added depth by retaining its core and signing veteran Tobias Harris, alongside drafting big men Tarris Reed Jr. and Jayden Quaintance. The team seeks to build on a season where they secured the second-best record in the NBA.
