NBA roster moves: Pelicans waive Houstan and Mavericks sign Cross

Several NBA teams have made roster adjustments. The New Orleans Pelicans have waived Caleb Houstan, a 23-year-old Canadian wing who previously played for Orlando and Atlanta. Houstan, who averaged 3.9 points over 186 career games, was on an Exhibit 9 training camp deal with New Orleans. Because his contract lacked Exhibit 10 language, his future with the Pelicans' G League affiliate is uncertain.

The Dallas Mavericks have signed forward Matt Cross to a training camp deal. Cross, a 6-foot-7 forward from SMU, spent the previous season with the Texas Legends.

Additionally, the Memphis Grizzlies have signed undrafted rookie Zach Cleveland to an Exhibit 10 contract. Cleveland, a versatile forward from Liberty, was the Conference USA Player of the Year last season. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have waived Japanese point guard Yuki Kawamura.
