NBA roster updates: Clippers and Mavericks execute multiple player moves
The Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks have undergone significant roster changes ahead of the upcoming NBA season.
The Clippers have waived Cam Christie and Yuki Kawamura. Christie, a 21-year-old guard, was released before his $2,296,271 salary became fully guaranteed. Kawamura, a 25-year-old Japanese point guard, was also waived following his preseason appearances. In response to these moves, the Clippers re-signed former Purdue guard Fletcher Loyer to an Exhibit 10 contract.
The Dallas Mavericks have completed several minor transactions to finalize their preseason roster. After signing Matt Cross, the team engaged in a series of moves involving Darin Green Jr., Chris Mantis, and Jorge Diaz Graham. Diaz Graham, the first overall pick in the NBAGL international draft, was signed to a roster spot.
Separately, the Mavericks are entering a new era under head coach Dusty May and president Masai Ujiri. The roster features a pairing of nine-time All-Star Kyrie Irving and 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg, following a major organizational reset.
