Oklahoma City Thunder star Jalen Williams suffers serious leg injury FAST-MOVING
The Oklahoma City Thunder maintained their undefeated start to the season with a 108-101 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers, but the win was overshadowed by a severe injury to All-Star forward Jalen Williams. With 1:14 remaining in the fourth quarter, Williams landed awkwardly on his left leg during a drive to the basket, causing his foot to bend at an unnatural angle. He was subsequently carried off the court on a stretcher.
While an official diagnosis is still pending, medical experts noted the injury mechanism is highly consistent with a dislocation accompanied by a fracture. Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault described the situation as "tough on the guys," noting the team was shaken by the incident. Star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who led the team with 34 points, was visibly emotional and in tears during post-game interviews while discussing Williams' resilience.
In addition to Williams, the Thunder lost two other players to injuries during the game: Cason Wallace (left shoulder soreness) and Jaylin Williams (right wrist soreness).
