NBA Summer League 2026 features rookie highlights, schedules and broadcasts

The 2026 NBA Summer League runs from July 9 to July 19, with the main tournament in Las Vegas and ancillary events in California, Salt Lake City and other locations. All 30 NBA teams field squads composed of recent draft picks, second‑year players, G‑League call‑ups and unsigned free agents, giving franchises a first look at the new talent class. The event’s schedule includes the California Classic, the Salt Lake City series and a 76‑game slate in Las Vegas, streamed on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU and Prime Video.

Rookie performances have already stood out. Utah Jazz second‑overall pick Darryn Peterson scored a game‑high 28 points in a 103‑102 overtime win over the Atlanta Hawks in Salt Lake City, also contributing rebounds, assists and blocks. Memphis Grizzlies rookie Cameron Boozer added 15 points in a 37‑point victory over Oklahoma City, while other top‑five picks, including AJ Dybantsa of the Washington Wizards, debuted in the opening games. The league also tracks Australian and former NBL players competing in the Summer League.

Beyond the on‑court action, ESPN will broadcast every game, with commentary from Dave Pasch and Doris Burke, and will feature daily studio analysis on NBA Today. The PlayStation NBA Creator Cup returns to Las Vegas, bringing digital creators to compete alongside the traditional games. The Summer League serves as a live laboratory for new technology, with connected basketballs and advanced player‑tracking data feeding into team evaluations.
