NBA Summer League features former Virginia Tech and Texas Tech players

The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, running July 9‑19 at the Thomas & Mack Center, includes several recent college standouts. Virginia Tech forward Tobi Lawal, the first Hokie drafted since 2019 (48th overall in the 2026 NBA Draft), joins the Dallas Mavericks' Summer League squad.

Texas Tech alumni also return to the league: Christian Anderson (18th‑overall pick, Charlotte Hornets), undrafted signee Donovan Atwell (Chicago Bulls), Chance McMillian (Golden State Warriors), Jahmi'us Ramsey (Denver Nuggets) and Zhaire Smith (Los Angeles Lakers). The players will compete in games televised on ESPN and Amazon Prime, with the championship scheduled for July 19.
