NBA teams prepare for training camp with open two-way roster spots

Thirteen NBA teams currently have at least one open two-way roster spot as training camps approach next month. The New York Knicks are notable for having all three of their available two-way spots open.

Other teams with single openings include the Boston Celtics, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans, Philadelphia 76ers, Sacramento Kings, and Washington Wizards. Two-way players are eligible to earn $678,882 this season and can generally participate in up to 50 regular-season games. Teams are permitted to carry a maximum of three two-way players in addition to their standard 15-man roster.

Several second-round picks, including Tyler Nickel (Knicks), Bryce Hopkins (Nuggets), and Lajae Jones (Warriors), remain unsigned and could potentially sign to these contracts. Additionally, teams may convert eligible players on Exhibit 10 contracts to two-way deals during or after training camp.
