NBC and ABC to air new true crime investigative episodes

NBC’s “Dateline” will feature a new episode titled “The Betrayal of Kirby Carpenter,” focusing on the 2022 death of a 36-year-old Mississippi businessman. While the killing initially appeared to be a robbery, investigators eventually focused on the victim's girlfriend, Caitlin Spence, and her parents, Jeffrey and Karen Spence.

ABC’s “20/20” will air an episode titled “The Suitcase Murders,” covering a multi-state investigation into the disappearance of 37-year-old Laura Simonson. The case involves the discovery of human remains in suitcases on a roadside in rural Wisconsin and potential links to a former police officer.
