NBC and Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange launch mobile trading service

The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) and the Dar es Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) have launched a strategic partnership to enable digital share trading via the NBC Kiganjani mobile banking platform. By integrating the DSE Hisa Kiganjani platform into the banking app, Tanzanians can now buy and sell shares of listed companies directly from their mobile phones.

The initiative aims to remove traditional barriers to capital market access, such as the need to visit physical bank branches or stock exchange offices. This digital integration allows users to monitor investment values, access market information, and manage portfolios securely.

According to DSE Chief Executive Officer Peter Nalitolela, the service is available to both existing NBC customers and new users. Prospective investors can download the app and register using their National Identification Number (NIDA). The collaboration is intended to encourage broader public participation in the investment economy and promote wealth creation through mobile banking.
