NBC Sports announces 2026 college football broadcast teams

NBC Sports has announced its broadcast teams for the 2026 college football season, which will feature more than 25 matchups from the Big Ten and Notre Dame. Coverage is scheduled to begin on August 29, when the USC Trojans host San Jose State on NBC and Peacock.

For the ‘Big Ten Saturday Night’ slot, the network will retain the trio of Noah Eagle, Todd Blackledge, and Kathryn Tappen. The Notre Dame broadcast team will include Dan Hicks and Jason Garrett, with Caroline Pineda joining as a new sideline reporter. Their first major assignment is a primetime matchup between Notre Dame and Wisconsin at Lambeau Field on September 6.

Additional personnel updates include the debuts of Jason Benetti and Dave Flemming, the return of Paul Burmeister, and the addition of former NFL quarterback Matt Cassel as an analyst for select Big Ten games. Yogi Roth will serve as an analyst and field reporter. The ‘College Countdown’ program will be anchored by Ahmed Fareed, with John Fanta filling in during the first four weeks.
