NBC's TODAY Edges GMA in Ratings as Host Lineup Shifts

For the week of July 20, NBC News' TODAY morning show reclaimed the top spot in total viewers, edging ABC's Good Morning America by about 4,000 viewers. TODAY recorded 2.747 million total viewers and 529,000 in the Adults 25‑54 demo, while GMA posted 2.743 million viewers and 442,000 in the same demo. CBS Mornings drew 1.592 million viewers and 219,000 in the demo.

During the same period, the TODAY program experienced a temporary hosting shuffle. Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin were absent, with Sheinelle Jones and Hallie Jackson co‑anchoring the main hours. Weekend meteorologist Angie Lassman filled in for Al Roker and Dylan Dreyer, who were on assignment—Guthrie filming a Wordle game‑show pilot in Manchester, Roker traveling on a personal assignment, and Dreyer on a family getaway.
