Núbia Oliveira seeks second Dez Milhas Garoto title

Brazilian runner Núbia Oliveira is preparing to defend her title at the 35th Dez Milhas Garoto, scheduled for September 27 in Vitória and Vila Velha. Oliveira, the 2025 champion, enters the race following a historic performance in Buenos Aires, where she set a new Brazilian half marathon record of 1h11min13s. This achievement broke a national record held by Silvana Pereira for 35 years.

Oliveira’s previous victory at the Dez Milhas Garoto in 2025 ended an 18-year period without a Brazilian female winner at the top of the podium. She aims to secure a second consecutive title in the event, which features both domestic and international elite athletes.
