NBL clubs recruit former NBA G League players for upcoming season
NBL27 rosters are taking shape as major Australian basketball clubs secure high-profile imports from the NBA G League.
The Sydney Kings are finalizing a one-year deal with 6'11 American forward Andrew Carr. Carr joins the reigning champions after playing for the Portland Trailblazers' G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. During his time with the Remix, Carr averaged 10.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. He will serve as the Kings' third import alongside Kendric Davis and Torrey Craig.
Melbourne United has signed center Josh Oduro to a one-year contract. Oduro joins the club following a stint with the New Orleans Pelicans and the Laketown Squadron in the NBA G League. Oduro, who played college basketball at George Mason and Providence, expressed a desire to win a seventh NBL championship and noted his excitement to learn from veteran teammates like Joe Ingles and Cole Anthony.
