NC State defeats Richmond 73-0 in dominant victory
NC State defeated Richmond 73-0 in a lopsided college football game on a stormy Friday night. The Wolfpack victory serves as a recovery following their season-opening loss to Virginia.
Running back Duke Scott led the offense with 128 rushing yards and two touchdowns, both scored in the first half. Quarterback CJ Bailey completed 13 of 17 passes for 281 yards, adding one passing touchdown and one rushing touchdown. Backup quarterback Will Wilson contributed three rushing touchdowns and one passing touchdown.
Richmond, an FCS member, was limited to 110 total yards of offense. The game experienced a 90-minute delay due to lightning early in the second quarter. Due to the significant scoring margin, the fourth quarter was reduced to 10 minutes.
