NC unveils new survival FPS ‘Like or Die’ at gamescom

NC (formerly NCSOFT) has unveiled its new team-based survival first-person shooter (FPS), ‘Like or Die’, during the gamescom Opening Night Live 2026 event. Previously known by the codename ‘Project Bonfire’, the game is set on a fictional cosmic streaming platform called ‘Quaya Stream’.

In the game, 16 players are divided into four teams of streamers competing for survival and popularity. A central mechanic involves protecting a ‘Nexus’, a respawn point for the team. If the Nexus is destroyed, players can no longer respawn, significantly increasing the stakes of the match.

Players can also utilize a ‘Block Gun’ to generate cubic blocks, allowing them to build defensive walls around their Nexus or create new pathways to surprise opponents, effectively reshaping the battlefield in real time. The game will be released for PC via Steam, though an official release date has not yet been announced.
