NCB advises customers to remove unsafe apps from phones
National Commercial Bank (NCB) has rolled out a new security solution called BShield, integrated with its IziMobiz mobile banking app. The system automatically scans users' smartphones for potentially harmful applications or unsafe operating conditions and issues a "Security risk detected" alert.
When such an alert appears, customers are instructed to either disable the app’s accessibility permissions or uninstall the offending application. Detailed steps are provided, guiding users through the device settings to locate the app, turn off its accessibility rights, and restart IziMobiz. The measure aims to safeguard personal data and banking assets against malware and cyber‑attack threats.
The advisory is being communicated to NCB’s customers in Indonesia, urging them to review their devices promptly to maintain a secure environment for digital transactions.
