NCBA and HEVA Fund launch KES 20M financing for Kenya’s creative economy

NCBA and HEVA Fund have launched a KES 20 million Start-Up Incubator financing facility aimed at supporting Kenya’s creative economy. This initiative provides individuals and registered SMEs within the creative industry value chain with access to tailored financing.

The facility offers a 9% interest rate with repayment periods of up to six months. Notably, the product requires no security, providing short-tenure financing and insurance to help entrepreneurs meet immediate business needs and invest in new opportunities.

This rollout is the first of several planned solutions under the strategic partnership. Future products are expected to include event financing, invoice discounting, LPO financing, and working capital financing to align with the cash-flow needs of creative businesses.
