NCC cadets gather in Gujarat for National Unity Day preparations
Two hundred National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets from all 17 directorates across India have assembled in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, for the Special National Integration Camp (SNIC). The camp serves as preparation for the National Unity Day celebrations scheduled for October 31 at the Statue of Unity.
The program focuses on the theme of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ to promote national integration. Cadets participate in daily physical training, drill exercises along the Narmada riverbank, yoga, and workshops covering leadership, ethical decision-making, and crisis management.
Additionally, the camp emphasizes cultural exchange, allowing cadets to share regional traditions, languages, and folklore to foster understanding of India's diversity. The event will culminate in a ceremonial parade and national integration displays at the Statue of Unity, which honors Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
