Náchod bypass construction progresses with tunnels and bridges

Construction of the Náchod bypass is progressing according to the approved schedule, as reported by the Road and Motorway Directorate (ŘSD). The project aims to divert transit traffic away from the city of Náchod, facilitating smoother travel toward Poland and the Broumov region.

Key developments include the completion of the 363-meter Dolní Radechová tunnel, which was breached in March. Work is currently focused on the secondary lining and preparing for roadway, sidewalk, and drainage installation. A second, shorter tunnel named Kramolna is also under construction.

The bypass will feature a total of 16 bridges and viaducts. Significant structures include the 257-meter Dolní Radechová viaduct and the 326-meter Běloves viaduct. Currently, crews are working on foundations, retaining walls, and earthworks across the route, particularly in the Vysokov–Vrchoviny section.
