Náchod to host public municipal waste analysis

The city of Náchod will host a publicly accessible analysis of mixed municipal waste on Thursday, September 24. In collaboration with the packaging company EKO-KOM, technical services will transport a sample of waste from black bins directly to Masarykovo náměstí for detailed examination.

Experts will manually sort the waste into specific material groups, including paper, plastics, glass, metals, electronic waste, textiles, and compostable materials. The goal is to evaluate how effectively citizens are sorting their waste and to identify materials that are being incorrectly disposed of in mixed bins instead of designated recycling containers.

The event is designed to be educational, featuring a special program for schoolchildren led by instructors to explain proper sorting methods.
