NCIS: Origins to feature Mark Harmon and Michael Weatherly reunion

The upcoming episode of ‘NCIS: Origins’, titled ‘Return of the Mack’, will feature the first on-screen reunion of characters Leroy Jethro Gibbs and Tony DiNozzo in over ten years. In the episode, Gibbs returns to the NCIS headquarters in Washington, D.C., to seek assistance from DiNozzo, who is now serving as the Director of NCIS, after being shot by unknown assailants.

Showrunner David J. North noted that the reunion was a deliberate choice to satisfy fan interest. While DiNozzo is expected to appear only in this episode, North teased that further surprises are planned for the season. The episode will also involve discussions regarding the character Ziva, reinforcing established character bonds within the franchise.
