NCsoft announces October 5 global launch for Aion 2

NCsoft has announced that the global launch of its aerial combat MMORPG, Aion 2, is scheduled for October 5 on PC via Steam and the Purple platform. This release will cover North America, South America, Europe, and Asia.

During the gamescom Opening Night Live, the company revealed a new trailer showcasing gameplay and landscapes. Developed in Unreal Engine 5, the game features a world 36 times larger than the original Aion and focuses on three-dimensional aerial combat. The PvE content includes over 200 dungeons ranging from solo challenges to 10-player group raids.

To prepare for the launch, NCsoft will conduct a Launch Scale Test from September 17 to 18. This open beta is designed to stress-test server capacity and infrastructure. Pre-downloads for the client will be available starting September 16. Additionally, players who purchase the Founder’s Pack will receive five days of early access from September 30 to October 4.
