NCSoft Q2 operating profit jumps 1,053% on Lineage Classic success

NCSoft reported a significant surge in its second-quarter financial results, with operating profit reaching 173.9 billion KRW, a 1,053% increase compared to the same period last year. Total revenue for the quarter rose 101% year-on-year to 770.5 billion KRW.

The growth was primarily driven by the success of ‘Lineage Classic’, which generated 185.5 billion KRW in revenue. PC game sales also hit a quarterly record of 343.8 billion KRW. Notably, overseas revenue now accounts for 52% of the company’s total, surpassing domestic sales for the first time in four consecutive quarters of growth.

In the mobile sector, revenue reached 185.3 billion KRW, supported by ‘Lineage M’ and the inclusion of the global mobile platform ‘JustPlay’, which helped mobile casual games contribute 22% to total revenue. NCSoft plans to showcase new titles, including ‘Aion 2’ and ‘Project Bonfire’, at Gamescom 2026 in Germany.
