NCT 127 leader Taeyong addresses Mark's departure

NCT 127 leader Taeyong addressed the departure of member Mark and the group's recent contract renewals during a press conference in Seoul. The event was held to commemorate the release of the group's seventh full-length album, ‘BLINGY’.

Taeyong spoke candidly about the emotional challenges of the group's lineup changes, noting that it was “heartbreaking” to navigate periods of instability. Regarding Mark, who left the group and SM Entertainment in April 2026 after a ten-year tenure, Taeyong expressed respect for his hard work and stated, “Since we are each on different paths, I simply want to say that I respect and support the path he has chosen.”

The press conference featured the five currently active members: Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan. Members Doyoung and Jungwoo are currently serving in the military. Taeyong also characterized the recent contract renewals as a sign of mutual trust and a commitment to moving forward as a group.
