NCT 127 releases 10th anniversary album ‘Blingy’

K-pop group NCT 127 has released their seventh full-length album, ‘Blingy’, marking their 10th anniversary since debuting in 2016. The release follows the group's recent contract renewals with SM Entertainment.

The current lineup features five active members—Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Jaehyun, and Haechan—while Doyoung and Jungwoo are currently fulfilling mandatory military service. The album includes nine tracks spanning genres such as hip-hop, rock, and pop, with the title track ‘Blingy’ featuring heavy beats and distorted synth sounds.

On the release day, a significant data error occurred on the Hanteo Chart. Initial reports suggested the album had sold approximately 2.9 million copies, causing widespread celebration among fans. However, Hanteo Chart later corrected the figure to 518,194 copies, citing a server error that caused duplicate data transmissions. Despite the correction, the group is proceeding with global promotions, including billboards in major cities and an upcoming tour.
