NDA projected to retain power in latest India Today-C-Voter survey
The latest India Today-C-Voter Mood of the Nation survey suggests that if Lok Sabha elections were held today, the BJP-led NDA would retain power. The survey projects the NDA would secure 326 seats, which is 26 seats fewer than the 352 seats projected in a January survey.
Specifically, the BJP is projected to win 261 seats, a decrease from the 287 seats predicted in the survey conducted six months ago. While this remains higher than the 240 seats the party won in the 2024 elections, it falls short of the ‘400 paar’ campaign slogan.
The Congress-led INDIA bloc is projected to win 185 seats, representing a slight increase from the 182 seats predicted in January, though this remains significantly lower than the 234 seats won in 2024. The survey was based on face-to-face interviews with 25,184 people conducted between July 1 and August 25.
