NDC faces tension over alleged voter register manipulation in Atwima Kwanwoma

Tensions are rising within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Kwanwoma constituency of the Ashanti Region due to allegations of a manipulated voters’ register. The party’s women’s wing, led by Women Organiser Afia Serwaa, claims that over 700 longstanding members have been removed from the register and replaced with non-party members.

Ms. Serwaa alleged that these irregularities include instances where a woman’s name is listed alongside a man’s photograph and telephone number, suggesting a deliberate attempt to influence upcoming constituency elections. The women’s wing has called for urgent intervention from regional and national executives to address the matter and prevent further unrest before the scheduled Saturday polls.
