N'Djamena monitoring committee visits Mara 1 and Mara 2 neighborhoods
A monitoring and evaluation committee for neighborhood commissions has conducted field visits to the Mara 1 and Mara 2 districts within N'Djamena's 1st arrondissement. Led by President Dakouma Abanguia, the initiative aims to bridge the gap between municipal authorities and local residents through direct dialogue.
During the visits, residents highlighted several critical infrastructure and sanitation issues, including the management of household waste, wastewater evacuation, and the deteriorating state of access roads. The committee has pledged to incorporate these grievances into future municipal solutions.
In addition to discussing urban management, the committee announced that the 1st arrondissement will hold a cultural week from November 5 to 9, 2026, intended to promote social cohesion and local talent.
