ANER Director General Thierno Alia Mbengue visits Ndiassane

Thierno Alia Mbengue, the newly appointed Director General of the National Agency for Renewable Energies (ANER), has begun a national tour to meet with major religious leaders in Senegal. His first stop was the religious city of Ndiassane in the Thiès region.

During his visit, Mbengue was received by the spokesperson for Khalifa Ababacar Kounta. Mbengue stated that his mission is to seek blessings and share the responsibilities of his new role with religious authorities, whom he described as ‘remarkable identities’ of Senegalese society.

This approach aims to align the agency’s actions with the directives of President Bassirou Diomaye Faye, focusing on proximity to local populations and maintaining a continuous dialogue with citizens to support public energy transition policies.
