NdjamVi Festival announces 19th edition in Chad
The 19th edition of the NdjamVi International Festival is scheduled to take place from November 25 to 28, 2026, at the Centre Olympe Africa in N’Djamena. Under the theme ‘Creative Youth, Sustainable Future,’ the event aims to transition from talent discovery to the professionalization of artists and the creation of sustainable careers.
Festival director Nguinambaye Ndoua Manassé announced that the program will include musical competitions for the NdjamVi Prizes, concerts, and entrepreneurship training in partnership with the Institut Kôré des arts of Mali. New initiatives include ‘Éclat de Femmes: Voix de l’Engagement,’ a musical creation featuring female artists from Chad, Cameroon, and other regions, as well as a merchant village to showcase local artisans.
Since its inception in 2007, the festival has hosted 845 concerts and supported hundreds of Chadian musical groups. This edition also intends to incorporate civic education awareness sessions for high school students and focus on culture as a lever for social transformation and job creation.
